Ergates

The program of Ergates Community Council includes the following activities and projects:

Construction of pavements 1,500 long in sum along the main road of the community (the plans are completed)
Realization of Phase B’ of the Anti-flood project and the construction of pedestrian and bicycle precincts.
Realization of sewer system (2009-2012)
Demarcation of 27 plots of land for young couples with low income and expansion of the residential zone.
Expansion of the community buildings and construction of a big hall for events
Construction of pedestrian precinct connecting Markou Drakou Street and Apostolou Thoma so as to serve the people going to church (connecting the churches)
Expansion of the Central Square towards the churchyard of the church of Agia Parasevi.
Construction of a Park in the memory of heroes and missing persons.
Recreation of the centre of the community with spaces paved with slabs, fountains, pedestrian precincts, benches, a.o.
Construction of a new and modern Community Station and the converting the existing community station into a leisure and entertainment place for the elderly.
Upgrade of the Community Library and Internet installation for the young.
Replacement of all small lamps and expansion of road lighting towards the Industrial Area.
Creation of a Cultural Centre
